On Friday, Julia and I baked the last batch of possible Christmas cookies -- the gingerbread dough that Cheshire made up on Christmas eve and then didn't get a chance to bake when she was home. Julia and I rolled out the dough and cut many, many dinosaurs and stars and angels and little men. We wore my mother's 1950's aprons -- still ironed and crisp. Julia thought she looked so pretty, and so she did.
