Pipecleaner Animals

Maybe momma should learn how to use her wonderful camers! Oh, I stink at photography. These pictures do not capture the cuteness of these little guys but they are the best that I can do. What you can't really see are the different colored ears, the white tuffs on the chests, and the spape of the heads. Maybe a photography class is something to ask Santa for.

Tip: Your focus is on the things behind those lovely pipecleaner animals, so try to hold down the button to let it autofocus on the animal and blur the background. If it doesn't work, try it again. Once you can see that the animal is in focus and not the couch then push it the whole way. (Sorry to be annoying if you already tried this!) They look gorgeous, we just can't see the details.

They are gorgeous! She is so talented. It is a focusing issue and Bobbi Jo nailed it. If your camera has the ability then change the focusing spot to just a single spot in the middle. That way you can focus that one red dot on what you want in focus.

Your daughter is an amazing artist and I want some of her work hung in my house. It would be an honor.

You are not annoying, Bobbi Jo. What you say makes sense. I will try it. Thanks for the tips.

It might be an idea to put the animals in a box and take them in a white/dark room.

(Yes, I'm sure Father Christmas gives photography lessons! Or maybe somebody can make you a coupon for One Photography Class: coupons are very popular Christmas giveaways, as are voucher cards).

I think I see pink ears in the animals.

The beasts don't move, so you wouldn't have had the problem I had this May past, when taking a picture of a kingfisher.

Another idea is: probably build a cube and take the picture from the top perspective.

Would it be that focusing issues outside our camera were so easily solved!

With those wonderful tails, they look like cats to me.
She sure had fun with these.
Here is an article detailing the happiness that those tails express:

Julia is so creative!! She could have her own little etsy shop...with all her art...seriously!

Games...I bought Trouble, Scrabble, Sorry, Rummikub and Connect 4 for the kids. I use the Scrabble tiles for buliding words and letter sounds (kind of like the game Bananogram..but instead of paying $20 for the bananogram letter tiles..I just use Scrabble tiles). The kids love makig their own words..and Quinn likes telling me what sound each letter makes, which really helps in building easy words for him. I also found a bag of simple word tiles at Staples..(house, cat, girl, water, red, the, at, what, etc. They love making easy or funny sentences out of these...or I scramble a few easy word tiles and have them correctly arrange them in a sentence.

We also have the Fisher Price Power Touch, kids love it..and the LeapPad learning system (both bought on eBay :-) Great for traveling...but now since you mentioned the handheld one, I might look at that. It would be a good for Quinn..as we are leaving soon for Cleveland for his surgery. Might be good to pass the time in the hospital bed..for hours..ugh!

Have fun shopping...I'm looking for some Polly Pocket playsets..hard to find. We also have Pet Shop that I might add on to.
